🧭 My Journey Begins
Back in 2015, I decided to explore something beyond the usual.
Windows had always been my comfort zone which is easy, predictable, and polished.
But over time, I felt limited. I wanted more control, more freedom, and more learning.
That’s when I discovered Linux Mint , my first step into the open-source world.
It looked familiar, which helped me feel comfortable right away.
I began with a dual-boot setup, keeping Windows as backup while exploring Linux Mint in my free time.
At first, I struggled new commands, new tools, and no “.exe” files!
But each session made me curious and more confident.
💡 From Curiosity to Confidence
After a few months, I switched to Ubuntu.
It was cleaner, modern, and had an amazing support community.
I started learning terminal commands, installing software with apt, and solving minor issues myself.
That’s when Linux stopped feeling like a challenge and started feeling like home.
Soon after, I was introduced to RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and CentOS.
This phase changed everything.
I learned about servers, permissions, users, SELinux, and system services.
Working with enterprise tools made me realize how powerful and stable Linux really is.
🔧 Mastering the System
By 2021, I was ready for something advanced Arch Linux.
It’s not beginner-friendly, but it rewards patience and curiosity.
I installed it from scratch, step by step, building everything manually.
That experience taught me how Linux truly works under the hood.
No bloat, no limits just pure control and performance.
Now, I can fine-tune my system exactly how I want it.
Every package, every configuration, every shortcut is mine to shape.
Arch made me realize that Linux is not just software it’s an idea of freedom.
🚀 Why I Never Looked Back
Since switching fully to Linux, I’ve never missed Windows.
Linux gives me stability, flexibility, and a deeper connection with my machine.
I no longer just use my computer — I understand it.
It’s faster, cleaner, and more reliable.
And the best part? There’s always something new to learn.
If you’re thinking about switching, start where I did — with Linux Mint or Ubuntu.
Take your time, explore, break things, fix them, and grow.
Because once you taste true freedom,
you’ll never want to go back. 🐧✨
